The ad on the internet was very deceiving. We were expecting something clean and quiet and up to date, what we experienced was very noisy, uncomfortable beds and very small. I will never consider the frontier for accommodations again. We stayed 1 night of the 3 and checked out first thing in the am.
It was the only place with vacancies - we were told we had to check out in morning and store was to open at 7 am. We waited until 7:30 and still no one there. There was supposed to be a restraunt which we wanted so we wouldn't have to drive around but it was closed because staff got in a fight and police came and closed them down. When we got there the girl had no idea we had a reservation because the computer is locked in office upstairs and no one there with a key - it is very poorly ran.
The way it was ran
The beds were dirty and smelled as well as the room !! the bathroom was acceptable ..The blinds didn't close and were broken ..they were hanging on by a thread we had to sleep fully clothed as you could see right in ...in the middle of the night 2 young guys pulled up in a 4x4 and tried to get into the room .. my daughter was terrified ... they kept trying the key and pushing on the door i eventually banged on the window and told them to go away .. they stopped .we hardly slept a wink and had an 8 hour drive ahead of us .. we felt very unsafe at this motel it is definitely not for the faint hearted ...
was just what I was looking for, clean, and priced right for an over night stay, will stay again for sure.
Right on Highway One so most convenient to pull in for a night's sleep before movin' on down the road. Restaurant is right there and was pleasant.
Power was out when I arrived and though it wasn't their fault it seemed like no one really cared. I was lucky to have a flashlight in my car, otherwise I don't know how I would have fared in the complete dark.
The room was clean and the in-room amenities like fridge, microwave, and cable tv were very good for the price. I needed a clean, safe, inexpensive place to spend a night while travelling through the rockies and the Frontier Motel fit the bill quite well.
The advertised free Wi-Fi did not work. I could connect to the Wi-Fi, but the Wi-Fi service itself had issues connecting to the internet. This was not a major issue considering the price for the room.
The shower worked.
This was the lousiest room I was in for a long time. The blinds couldn't be closed and there was no privacy from passers-by. The bed sheets looked washed out and dubious. My friend preferred not to use them and slept in his clothes. The carpet smelled and was dirty. Even for the low price, this was definitely not worth the money. If at least the blinds could have been closed!
It seemed historical
The road construction at the time and gas station out of fuel
It had microwave oven.
Room smelled really bad - it had been sprayed with insect killer and it made all of us dizzy and gave us headache. Room was also very small and uncomfortable and beds were out of balance (all the night I fell in the middle).
Conveniently located off of the main highway. Affordable.
Well, other than the fact that the T.V. remote did not work, even after the staff put in new batteries, it was O.K.
Price is good Near the highway
Bed was old and too soft Rollos let all the light in, very old and broken.
It was the cheapest available.
Noise of trucks on highway, constant trains shunting through the night, cramped room, grubby carpet.
Not a great looking building from the outside and the rooms were small, but the beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. It was perfect for the one night stay over... definately will stay again when in the area.
I would expect to pay aroun d 30-40 dollars for a room of this type. Also on the booking web site it stated only 4 rooms left. That was not true as the motel was less than 1/2 full. The price we paid was exactly the same as every one else pays. The site was misleading.
was reasonablely priced
room was pretty grungy, and noisey
